Chapter 5, Echoed words.

10 times if we're being honest.

Every single person reading this including you, has heard the phrase "actions speak louder than words", more times than they can count on their fingers.

Truth be told, you are here, in this very moment because you're about to crash right into an epiphany.

Actions do not speak louder than actions -they merely echo them.

Before you finish them, I know the questions your mind is pulsating with.

- What actions echo what words?

- Are you saying I can magically do anything just because I said it, in passing possibly?

- Does this mean I can fly?

A quick attempt to answer your questions,

- We'll get to that in a minute.

- If said correctly and as frequently as necessary.

- Of course you can! Anybody can, if we're being honest. With their ticket and passport.

A couple weeks before I wrote this, I said to myself "You know what, I'm going to learn how to drive". It had been long overdue, and to be honest, I really wanted to.

But days, turned into weeks and weeks into a month and half. I still hadn't even figured out what school to learn from, and this was something I wanted to do, I said it out loud too.

Then it him me. It wasn't about how bad I wanted it or how loud I said it.

What I said- about learning to drive, was just a hopeful wish- as potent as a statement made in passing.

We skip ahead to a few days later, when I had rephrased what to say.

Instead of hopefully wishing, I started saying "I'm learning to drive on whatever date" or "I'm perfecting my driving before Tuesday".

I said it under my breath. At strategic times- first thing I say when I look in the mirror, first thing I say when I feel most confident.

When the date hit, I went to the park, met with the instructor. Got in with, and started listening.

Now, fast forward to today, I'm no Hamilton but I park so well, you'd swear it was automated.

Okay I admit that was an awful joke, but you laughed. Not because it was funny, but because you can relate a little too well to it.

Probably, for you, it wasn't driving, it was taking that we'll needed time off, or asking that pretty girl from work out, or sticking to your cardio routine.

It could have been a number of things, really.

Where you whispered under your breath, with a deadline in mind. Said softly at very particular times. And like a magic trick, it unraveled into becoming the you who now works better because you've taken time off, or the you who's now in better shape cause you kept to your routine.

This you. It's a product of your echoed words- the actions.

In my little observation of certain people in our daily lives that we know to be more efficient or the job-well-done people, they always are champions of the power of echoed words. Nothing more.

Illuminating thing is how it isn't illegal how quickly we become those efficient or "job-well-done" people when we practice echoing our words.

Echoing words can be very transformative but for certain tasks, more particular crafts will have to be applied. For this reason, we made a whole chapter for you- "Chapter 4, The Projected Future".

There we address what plans really are, how they affect us and the simplest way to effectively plan.
